March 6 | March 7 | March 8 | March 9 | March 10 | March 11 | March 12 | Bonus!
If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Isaiah 58:10-12
Ok guys, here are all the pictures from our spring break New York trip. Most of them came out pretty good, but a few are kind of hard to see. I took out a few pictures that were almost impossible to see, so if you can't find a picture you are sure I took, then it is probably because it came out really bad. I would just like to thank each and every one of you for being so patient with me, because I know how annoying it can be having to take a picture every five minutes, especially when you are in a hurry to get somewhere. So thanks for putting up with me guys! Also, I would like to apologize to a lot of you guys who I didn't get many pictures of (of course, some of you may have been rather happy about that...), but as we were in our teams most of the time, a good number of the pictures include only my team members (GO TEAM G!!!). At any rate, I hope I got at least one picture of everyone in the Houston Metro group, and if not, you are welcome to stop by my room at any time and have your picture taken =0)
Ok, so about the pictures... there are a whopping 326 pictures from the trip on this webpage (plus a few bonus pictures that I think you will really like). I organized all of the pictures by the date they were taken, so to access them, go to the top of this page and click on the links under the title (the ones that say March 6, March 7, etc.). This will bring up a list of all the pictures that I took that day. To see a picture, just click on the filename (ex. filename - snow.jpg). When you are done looking at the picture and want to look at the next one, just click the back button at the top of your web browser (i.e.- Netscape) and it will take you back to the list of pictures for that day. When you want to see the pictures from another day, click the back button until you get back to the main New York page (the one with the links at the top) and click on the day you want to see.
I know a lot of you want to make copies of these pictures, so I am offering them at the bargain price of $.25 each or 5 for $1 (does this little selling scheme sound familiar? I think I spent too much time in Chinatown!). Ok, ok... I'm just kidding... of course you can make copies for free... that's the beauty of digital pictures! Here's how it is done (this assumes you are using Windows 95 or Windows 98 - if there are any Mac users out there who can't figure out how to save the pictures, you can e-mail me and I will be more than happy to help you out):
Well guys, I think that is about it. If you run into any problems viewing or saving the pictures, e-mail me at frijol@rice.edu and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I hope ya'll enjoy viewing the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them! God Bless!!!
P.S.- If anyone has a copy of the Today Show (you know, the one where all those crazy people from Houston, Texas took off their shirts in the snow just to get their second of fame), please let me know so I can make a copy... I'm dying to show it to my parents!
